Principals

Dave Graham
DaveG@phaseonelandscapes.com
Graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Landscape Architecture from Iowa State University in 1981, Dave returned back to his native town of Denver. Working through the ranks of laborer, construction foreman, and designer he experienced residential design/build from the ground up. Opening Phase One Landscapes in 1988 he partnered with Dennis Frank, and together they have designed and built 100's of landscapes in the Greater Denver Metro area. As a member of ASLA and the ALCC, Dave has been involved in the design of 15 ALCC Awards in his career., and 18 of his projects have been featured on the CCASLA garden tour. Published in national and local magazines his projects are always under recognition. His management style is enhanced with his Labrador, Kelsie, who accompanies him to the office most every day.

Dennis Frank
DennisF@phaseonelandscapes.com
Dennis has co-anchored to develop Phase One Landscapes from the beginning - 20 years ago, with Dave Graham. Building his construction division with a solid foundation of skilled craftsmen, he manages a cohesive team of 6 talented foreman and their crew members. Under his lead, each of his crews has mastered the many operations of landscape construction from planting through irrigation, stonework, masonry, water elements and walls. The challenges created by the artistic design that our architects dream up are welcomed by everyone. We are proud of the many award-winning projects constructed through the years, and our approach to quality first has rewarded us with many happy clients. Dennis enjoys his time off with his family and their many animals (pets) on their small hobby farm, time in the mountains, and traveling, often to visit his Minnesota roots and family.

Recently receiving his Colorado License, Scott puts all his experience into each project big or small. He challenges himself to push the envelope of creativity with each and every one of his projects. Whether it is a small and subtle detail in a patio or a modern contemporary back yard, creativity is the fuel to his passion. Outside of work, Todd’s first priority is his family, wife Carisa, and two kids, Madison and Max. When he is able to get away from everything, you can find him mountain biking through Colorado’s Front Range trail system.
